Milestones in our history
It didn’t start in a garage. But with a small business for metalworking and metal processing, founded by Alfred Junior in 1957. It was the starting point for today’s JUNIOR Group, which in addition to MJ-Gerüst GmbH also includes Junior Kühlkörper GmbH, which manufactures heat sinks and precision components for the electronics and electrical industry.
Strong industry, strong family
The companies of the JUNIOR Group have been family-owned since their foundation and are among the largest owner-managed industrial companies at our home location in Plettenberg.
Since the beginning of the 1970s, MJ-Gerüst GmbH has specialised in the production of scaffolding and has constantly expanded its product range.
We are now one of the three strongest and leading scaffolding manufacturers in Germany.

Start of production of the first MJ scaffolding system UNI
2001
Start of production of the second MJ scaffolding system UNI-CONNECT
2003
Start of production of the third MJ scaffolding system UNI TOP
2009
Start of production of the COMBI scaffolding system as the first modular scaffolding system from MJ-Gerüst
2010
Acquisition of an additional 100,000 sqm of land to expand production capacities
2011
Commissioning of the new, approx. 7,000 sqm production and welding hall
2014
Commissioning of the new punching hall
2017
Holding the first customer seminars in the new seminar and exhibition centre

Commissioning of the company’s own production line for steel decking

Acquisition of an additional 200,000 sqm of land in the Osterloh-West industrial estate, Plettenberg

Commissioning of the second location in Plettenberg with a 14,000 sqm production and welding hall.

Start of production of the OPTIMA scaffolding system as the first scaffolding system with leading railing
